About our New Orleans School of Eating – ‘Cool’inary Lunch and Learn
You will:
- Indulge in the quintessential flavors of famous dishes from old New Orleans.
- Hear captivating stories and deep-rooted history behind each dish served during the experience.
- Learn what makes these dishes quintessential to New Orleans, from the importance of a rich roux to the blend of unique spices that define our culinary heritage.
- Take home a piece of NOLA with recipes provided, so you can recreate the magic in your own kitchen.
- Feast on a delicious menu featuring gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, shrimp po’ boy, and bread pudding—all beloved classics.
Sample Menu for the Lunch Experience (11AM & 1PM):
- Starter: Ya-Ya Gumbo – An aromatic soup-stew characteristic of Creole cuisine in New Orleans.
- Starter: Jambalaya – A savory Cajun or Creole stew that originated in New Orleans’ French Quarter.
- Main Course: Shrimp Po’Boy and Red Beans and Rice – The Shrimp Po’Boy is a famous sandwich from New Orleans, served with a delicious side of red beans and rice.
- Dessert: Famous Bread Pudding – A sweet finish to your meal, this bread pudding is a popular New Orleans dessert.
Sample Menu for the New Orleans Dinner Experience (4PM):
- Starter: Shrimp Remoulade – A wonderful first course; this cold appetizer is a New Orleans seafood dinner delight.
- Starter: Seafood Gumbo – A rich and hearty New Orleans stew.
- Main Course: A Taste of New Orleans – Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffée, Shrimp Creole with Red Beans and Rice.

Coffee, tea, and water are included in the ticket price; adult beverages can be purchased separately.
