However many days you’re spending in the Crescent City, there’s no better way to start your visit than with the ultimate local food tour. Eat your way throughout the streets of the French Quarter and visit Jackson Square in the heart of the city. Our guides can’t wait to entertain you with interesting facts and anecdotes, and point out famous sights along the way.

This tour visits five different eateries (plenty to fill you up for lunch!), which are included in the ticket price (restaurants are subject to change).

Keep an ear open for the lunch bell! Come hungry!

Tour Stops du Jour

Laura’s Pralines and Candies

Munch on Creole pralines and hand-dipped chocolates whose roots date back to the 18th century – the recipes haven’t changed! Nestled in the French Quarter, New Orleans’ oldest candy store is sweeter than ever.

Johnny’s Po-boy

Established in 1950, this third generation French Quarter landmark dishes out the best sandwiches in New Orleans. Enjoy a muffaletta with all of its classic fixings.

The Old Coffeepot

Classic Cajun and Creole cuisine has been the calling card here since 1894. Try the same jambalaya that Guy Fieri featured on “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.”

This restaurant was previously a Spanish armory before it started serving classic Creole dishes in an elegant setting. We’ll try their house specialty – a beef brisket po-boy served with a Creole sauce with just a touch of horseradish.

New Orleans Creole Cookery

You have to try the famous bread pudding at the New Orleans Creole Cookery. You haven’t experienced New Orleans until you’ve stepped into this iconic eatery, courtesy of A.J. and Anna Tusa of the famous New Orleans Tusa restaurant family. The Cookery promises a shot of new generation energy combined with the city’s most treasured cooking traditions in a setting that really speaks to the way people dine today.
